The plaintiffs conducted testing that revealed elevated levels of arsenic and lead in these pet foods.

The plaintiffs argue that Wellness wrongfully sold these contaminated products without adequate labeling or warnings about the presence of harmful toxins, which could accumulate over time and lead to pet poisoning, injury, or disease.
The plaintiffs further contend that Wellness' marketing campaigns and branding, including terms like "Uncompromising Nutrition" and "Unrivaled Quality Standards," contributed to the deceptive nature of the product representation. Additionally, the pet foods were found to contain significant levels of BPA, an industrial chemical known as an endocrine disruptor.
Overall, the lawsuit seeks to hold Wellness Pet Food accountable for allegedly misleading consumers about the safety and quality of their products and for failing to disclose the presence of harmful substances in their pet foods.
