We have two larger dogs, a lab cross (approx. 100lbs) and a black shepherd/Heeler cross (approx. 90lbs) who have eaten this raw coated food before. However, with the most recent bag we bought, both of them developed severe diarrhea and one of them was also throwing up. I am very upset and displeased by the poor quality of the bag of dog food I purchased. My husband and I did a thorough run through to make sure there was nothing else that was going on; that they didn’t get into anything they shouldn’t have, or anything like that. The only common denominator, for both of them, was this new bag of dog food, as we finished our last one. Had it been one dog, I would’ve thought maybe there is a sensitivity to something, even though they’ve both had this particular chicken flavoured wholesome grains, raw coated food before, but with both of them getting so sick, it’s clear that something was awry in that particular batch of food. While we have bought Stella & Chewy’s in the past, both food and treats, after seeing our dogs get so ill from this food, we will never buy it again! We have reached out to the company, too, to let them know about this.
The food type was: FREEZE-DRIED RAW COATED KIBBLE; WHOLESOME GRAINS CHICKEN RECIPE with PUMPKIN & QUINOA
The LOT number on the front of the bag was: #210521PRO037202
