Recall History
The following list (if present) shows all cat food recalls related to SPORTMiX Cat Food Review since 2011. If no recalls are listed, no recall events have been reported.
The FDA has issued an alert regarding the recall of certain lots of Sportmix pet food due to the presence of potentially fatal levels of aflatoxin. Aflatoxin is a harmful substance produced by molds that can cause serious health problems in pets if consumed. The alert informs pet owners and veterinary professionals about the recall of Sportmix pet food products manufactured by Midwestern Pet Foods, Inc. The recall was initiated after reports of pet illnesses and deaths linked to the consumption of these products. The FDA advises consumers to stop using the recalled products and contact their veterinarian if their pets show signs of aflatoxin poisoning, such as lethargy, vomiting, jaundice, or diarrhea. The agency continues to investigate the situation and work with the manufacturer to address the issue.
SPORTMiX has been recalled 3 times in the years 2020, and 2021.
